Foundation= the most important part of a buildings structure, BEARING the weight load and giving strength.

The parable in Matthew 6:24-29 implies that everyone is a BUILDER

THE WISE BUILDER
WISDOM= the ability to make good sensible decisions based on knowledge and experience
Knowledge is the observation of facts
Understanding is the explanation of facts
Wisdom is the application of facts

THE FOOLISH BUILDER
gives no thought to the plan at all

All builders build on something.
The foolish isn't necessarily lazy, they just don't consider it all.
Sand is shifting, sliding, sinking and unstable. How's my life? How's my foundation?

The purpose of scripture.
Strength!
Stationary, strong and stable.

All foundations will be tried! Be prepared or storms... They will come!

Storm- a disturbance of atmosphere, an agitated state of mind.

Sometimes God calms the storm and sometimes He calms his child.

How do I respond to storms? That answer is the difference between the wise and foolish. Storms are not forever... They will pass and Gods promise that at the end, the wise will stand.

Only one foundation will stand!

If the foundation is neglected, it is hard to fix the structure.
