Even the wisest men can be foolish
This verse goes to show that you can know the right path, and know how to avoid the wrong path, yet still choose to go down the wrong path!! Solomon had a lot of trouble with women because He ignored Gods warning. He ignored even his own wisdom that God had given him. I would pick Davids heart after God over Solomons wisdom. Sure both made mistakes but David was better off than his son Solomon in the end.
