Forgiveness for everybody
I have come across such a verse again where God offers even Israel's enemies fortitude if they choose to make peace with him..
The OT so far has been an account of God's harsh wrath towards non believers almost exclusively. But here is a gesture and a glimpse of God's forgiving nature towards sinners,,, ij n the new Testament, Paul speaks of gentiles being grafted into the main vine, whereupon Jews by default initially branched from.. Paul goes ahead also to emphasize that the grafting served as an adoption where we would be considered as God's legitimate children complete with all possible privileges given to his chosen people..
It even almost seems unfair that God would completely forget the transgressions of repentant sinners so much so as to give them the opportunity to be blessed up to the same degree of those who were chosen of God way before (God offered to give the same level of protection to Israel s enemies if they repented)
