Tenacious hope

Matthew 27:61

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were seated there, facing the tomb.

After everything seemed finished and all others had left, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary still followed Him to His tomb. Undoubtedly they were filled with grief after seeing their Master and Savior killed, but they still had hope. Their hope drove them to the tomb. Even when all seemed to be lost they still continued to believe that there was more. They refused to let the enemy take away their conviction that Jesus was indeed Messiah just as He had said.

There may be times of sadness in my life where all hope seems to be lost. I must, however, stand firm and not allow the enemy to tell me that there is no reason to continue to believe. I will stand firm on the promises of GOD. I know that He will never leave me nor forsake me just as He promised. He has always been faithful and will always be faithful.

Faithful and Beautiful GOD there is no other so perfect as You. Your promises never fail and I praise You. Please forgive me when I do not stand firm on Your promises. Please strengthen me that I may stand firm against the devil's schemes. I know without a doubt that You have always been faithful and that You will always be faithful. May I never lose my hope in You. Please grant me a tenacious hope that cannot be quenched. I will need Your strength and aid to help me in this. I cannot do it on my own. I surrender to You. Please fill me with Your wisdom that I may never lean on my own understanding. I love You. All glory be Yours forever in the name of Jesus amen.
