The way is prepared and then he cries from the mountaintop "the LORD has come"
Then in Luke we witness the truth of His message "the LORD has come"
We need to remember that this is the focus of Christmas...to herald the message-"the LORD has come" ...with every card we send, with every gift we give, with every carol we sing...the message should ring in our hearts, spring from our lips and be evident in our actions.
To often the message gets misreprepresented...the Lord came...as if we are merely recalling a long ago event...and though we remember with fondness it has no impact upon us today.
The LORD has come...transforming lives today!
At Christmas I am not remembering the past but celebrating the present. Thank you, LORD, you have come into my life, you have given my life meaning and fullness. Thank you that you did not just come and go but that each day we are together. I love You! Happy Birthday, my Saviour.
