Sustain with a Word
Our lives could be characterized on the outcome of the many conversations we have with those around us. What effect do we generally impress upon people? Do they walk away feeling despondent and depressed? Or, do they walk away feeling like anything is possible?
One of our major calls, as Jesus-followers, is to sustain with a word those who are weary.
But how do we know what to say to those who are weary?
The end of the verse explains...
Morning by morning he awakens, he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.
How often are we still enough to hear God's voice? How often are we breaking open the Bible? How often are we memorizing Scripture? All of these questions can lead us into a place of being equipped for every conversation we may encounter.
The Lord has given you a tongue.
Use it wisely.
Make a difference.
