Past Mistakes? Memory-Erase
Memories of our past mistakes can come and disheaten even born-again Christians. Some of the sins committed before salvation may have left a physical or emotional scar, may have damaged our reputation, or may have left us a reminder. And some of these scars can have serious long term damage that can reduce our productivty, decrease our social capacities and hamper our character development (causing development of characters like bitterness, dismay, antisocialism, distrust etc.). But God offers healing of these scars so that we can lead full-on lives, not lives with repressed-negative memories (because with repressed-memories, the past humiliation still is always remembered though much less), but lives without the hurting-scars of those memories -- so that even though we may remember or see the consequences of our past failures, God has taken away the shame, guilt and humiliation. Instead God gives us peace, joy and favor (Isaiah 55:1-2) because he takes pleasure in our lives being fulfilled and happy.
