You can say no and still be a good Christian


Healthy boundaries require us to say no at times for better self-leadership…to make us more emotionally present. Sometimes we say no to what people want because we’re saying yes to God. Woe to us if we’re keeping everybody happy.

When loving others … GRACE & LICENSE are not the same thing.

Counter-intuitive thought from the book “Boundaries” by Henry Cloud and John Townsend. Being "selfish" isn't the same thing as "self-centeredness." Self-centeredness = unloving looking out for your own interest. Selfish = loving others with stewardship of yourself. Interesting.
