False Teachers

The presence of such false apostles are dangerous and disappointing, but it is not a surprise!! Satan, and the people he uses (whether consciously or not), regularly disguise themselves as angels of light.
And how do such men gain a foothold in the life of a believer today? What has opened the door to their presence and influence? One significant contributing factor, is "tolerance".

Christians will be seduced into thinking there is no hell, not because they choose to be selective about what teachings of Jesus they will accept, but because they have heard some explaination on the theme of God's love, that not only go beyond the biblical text, but also deny some other part of Scripture. They mix truth with error- taking parts of the bible, leaving behind others, and twisting other...

The false teachers might offer generous support of teachers who appear on television, because the people on the screen talk fluently of joy, peace, triumph, experience, and of some sort of Jesus - and who can be against such things?"

But sin is subtle. So, too, is Satan. But, as Paul said in (2 cor 2:11-15), "we are not ignorant of his designs". Though he may come to us as "an angel of light" and his workers as "servants of righteousness", we have the mind of Christ!!

Prayer- Forgive me father for falling into such a trap in my past! Thank you for my personal guide, the Holy Spirit, that safely rescued me from the destruction the enemy had planned.. and pulling me out with so much more knowledge that I had before the deception! I'm sorry I was upset with you for allowing it to happen to me- I know it didn't please you to see me in that situation, but it was necessary for me to learn my lesson.. I'm aware of the mistakes I made that caused this error in the first place. It was my tolerance!! Though I tried to stand up to the twisted truths presented, I lacked the confident needed to fight for your right!! I learned that "to NOT say an opinion is wrong, is the same as agreeing it is right!" I had no right to treat the Word of God as an optional opinion!! I'm so sorry my Lord, please forgive me! As a believer and faithful servant, I pray you give me courage to speak against the evil one, standing up for the truth, in every situation/ to every person in my future! Thank you for the revelation of your Word. Help me to never fall into this trap again and give me the strength needed to help other believers not to fall into it as well. Please grant me more insight into truth and also discernment needed for future run ins with false teachers. You are my one and only.. the absolute lover of my soul. I live to praise and worship you all the days of my life, my King! In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen
