Governed By Love
Max Lucado has a great paragraph about this; "Jesus spoke of freedom, but he spoke of a different kind of freedom: the type of freedom that comes not through power but through submission. Not through control but through surrender. " For many that is what we truly desire freedom. Freedom from the mundane, freedom from guilt, and freedom from hopelessness. How amazing that we find this freedom in God's son, Jesus! Of course this freedom is an offer and can be rejected, even by believers. We can shackle ourselves to guilt, worry, and a joyless life, but this would be foolish for He set us free from these bonds!

God help us as a people learn to submit and surrender to You. Not in obligation but out of grateful hearts for what you have done. You have given us all we need and for that we thank you for that.
