Question
If our path determines our destination, then how do we know which path to take?
Tension
You only get to make certain choices once. There are only so many stages of life, and there isn’t any time to waste.
Scripture
Proverbs 27:12 NIV84
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
Thought #2
Experiences along the path: • ACTION: You have to do something. • SACRIFICE: You have to give something up. • EMBARRASSMENT: This is an embarrassing thing to do because the people who know you are going to look at what you do. • RELIEF: One day you will breathe a sigh of relief that you changed paths.
Thought #1
When we see the caution sign, we have to make a decision. You either act as a wise person or a simple person. The outcome for the simple is that they suffer for it.
Landing
Don’t waste your life on the wrong path. Are there some paths that you need to get off? Don’t waste another minute on a path that leads you somewhere you don’t want to go.
Prayer to Repeat
Lord, help us to see trouble coming long before it gets here. And give us the wisdom to know what to do and the courage to do it.
