You Have Been Called
1 Peter 2:21 NIV
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
You Are Called to Make DISCIPLES
go: poreuomai (por-yoo'-om-ahee): to travel, depart, go, take a journey. It could be translated “as you go.”
You Are Called to Make DISCIPLES
Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Two Misconceptions About Discipling
1) I am not READY to disciple anyone 2) I don't need someone to disciple ME
1) By Your EXAMPLE
1 Corinthians 11:1, Philippians 3:17 NIV
Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you.
2) With Your WORDS
