When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
1. The expectation
// Jewish expectation: Lev. 23 “Pentecost means 50th because this feast is held 50 days after Feast of the First Fruits. The Jews celebrated it as the giving of the Law.” // Jesus expectation: “Passover pictures Jesus’ death, First Fruits pictures the resurrection, Pentecost pictures the giving of the Holy Spirit.”
2. The preparation
// A spirit-filled church is a united church! Want this? Ask: Have I forgiven? Restitutions? Bitterness? Anger? Sin habits? // Personal ambition and perspective had died out! It must! For everything –everyone! // We need an undying desire for God’s promise of HIS’s power/presence.
3. The participation
