Psalm 29

1 Ascribe unto Jehovah, O ye sons of the mighty, Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength.

2 Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name; Worship Jehovah in holy array.

3 The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters: The God of glory thundereth, Even Jehovah upon many waters.

4 The voice of Jehovah is powerful; The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

5 The voice of Jehovah breaketh the cedars; Yea, Jehovah breaketh in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild-ox.

7 The voice of Jehovah cleaveth the flames of fire.

8 The voice of Jehovah shaketh the wilderness; Jehovah shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds to calve, And strippeth the forests bare: And in his temple everything saith, Glory.

10 Jehovah sat as King at the Flood; Yea, Jehovah sitteth as King for ever.

11 Jehovah will give strength unto his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

La voix du SEIGNEUR

1  tPsaume. De David.
Fils des dieux, donnez au SEIGNEUR (YHWH),
donnez au SEIGNEUR gloire et puissance !

2  tDonnez au SEIGNEUR la gloire de son nom !
Prosternez-vous devant le SEIGNEUR quand éclate sa sainteté !

3  tLa voix du SEIGNEUR retentit sur les eaux,
le Dieu glorieux fait gronder le tonnerre ;
le SEIGNEUR est sur les grandes eaux.

4 La voix du SEIGNEUR, avec puissance,
la voix du SEIGNEUR, avec magnificence,

5  tla voix du SEIGNEUR brise les cèdres ;
le SEIGNEUR brise les cèdres du Liban,

6  til les fait bondir comme un taurillon,
il fait bondir le Liban et le Siriôn comme un aurochs.

7  tLa voix du SEIGNEUR fait jaillir des feux flamboyants.

8  tLa voix du SEIGNEUR fait trembler le désert ;
le SEIGNEUR fait trembler le désert de Qadesh.

9  tLa voix du SEIGNEUR fait accoucher les biches,
elle dépouille les forêts.
Et dans son temple
tout s’écrie : Gloire !

10  tLe SEIGNEUR habite le déluge,
le SEIGNEUR est assis en roi pour toujours.

11  tLe SEIGNEUR donnera la puissance à son peuple ;
le SEIGNEUR bénira son peuple par la paix.
