Psalm 46

1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, And though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas;

3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, Though the mountains tremble with the swelling thereof. Selah

4 There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God will help her, and that right early.

6 The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered his voice, the earth melted.

7 Jehovah of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

8 Come, behold the works of Jehovah, What desolations he hath made in the earth.

9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariots in the fire.

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 Jehovah of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

Le SEIGNEUR est avec nous

1  tDu chef de chœur. Des fils de Coré. Sur alamoth. Chant.

2  tDieu est pour nous un abri et un appui,
un secours bien présent dans la détresse.

3  tC’est pourquoi nous n’avons pas peur quand la terre tremble,
quand les montagnes vacillent au cœur des mers,

4  tquand leurs eaux grondent, écument
et font trembler les montagnes en se soulevant. Pause.

5  tIl est un fleuve dont les canaux réjouissent la cité de Dieu,
le sanctuaire des demeures du Très-Haut.

6  tDieu est en son sein : elle ne vacille pas ;
Dieu la secourt à l’approche du matin.

7  tDes nations grondent, des royaumes vacillent ;
il fait entendre sa voix : la terre s’effondre.

8  tLe SEIGNEUR (YHWH) des Armées est avec nous,
le Dieu de Jacob est pour nous une citadelle. Pause.

9  tVenez, regardez les œuvres du SEIGNEUR,
la dévastation qu’il a semée sur la terre !

10  tIl fait cesser les guerres jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre ;
il brise l’arc, il rompt la lance,
il met le feu aux chars.

11  tArrêtez, et sachez que je suis Dieu !
Je domine sur les nations, je domine sur la terre.

12  tLe SEIGNEUR (YHWH) des Armées est avec nous,
le Dieu de Jacob est pour nous une citadelle. Pause.
