Forgiveness in defiance
I find it incredible that even when God was angry at Israel for turning her back on Him, he was already planning on what He'd say if she came back. And it wasn't just "hmph, guess you came back where you're supposed to be, huh?" as we're so prone to do when we want to say "told ya so." No, instead, he was planning on welcoming them back into the family, blessing them with the choicest lands that other nations "would die for." Amazing. He wants to bless us even when we don't act like we want to be blessed. How awesome would those blessings be if we'd just return to the path He has for us?
