Job
Oh my- here we go again. I have read the book of Job once through to help me put some proper perspective on some troubles that I had in my life. I pray that this time around the Lord will show me with new eyes, a fresh mind and a renewed spirit things that will speak to me, in this seaon of my life.
Job is a great man - he has a great many things- the Lord was bragging about him!! Satan walks about on the Earth- dear Lord protect me and mine from the evil ones ways. Satan had to get permission to afflict Job. 1.2.3.4. in four short messages Job looses almost everything he owns- yet he worships the name of the Lord- this is an amazing faith that he has, one I want to take and make into an integral part of myself. now Satan is able to afflict Job's physical body- Job's wife encourages him ro curse God, may I never be like this. his friends at first comisserated with him because they saw that his grief was so great - Job curses the day he was born, not God- Eliphaz is saying that Job is being punished for an iniquity he has committed? He is emphasizing the greatness and all-knowing (ness) of God. "happy is the man whom God correcteth he says-
