We Do Not Distort the Word of God
Amen! So many people refer to our religion as "fake", but we must remember, Jesus and his disciples were real about their faith in God. They traveled across deserts, were prisoned, and later killed for us. They did it all for God's word, and it's all recorded in history, even outside the Bible. Jesus is real, His word is real; therefore, we too must be real.
Why are so many churches distorting the Word of God? After all the toils the founding disciples strived to preserve His word, this is how we respond? What will happen if we all sit back, watch, and do nothing? Here's the answer: "And even if the gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing" (4:3). The churches who distort His word will destroy themselves with corruption. Who can trust a church who does not trust God?
We live in a world that refuses to repent. So they change the word of God to make their actions "ok". We live in a world where appeasing society becomes more important than delighting God. Some sin, acknowledge their sin, repent, and find the means to serve Him better. Others sin, deny the sin, deceive others about the sin, and cause others to fall away from God.
Lord, I was born a sinner. My mind and body continues to sin. But my heart longs for you. I will never believe my sins are righteous. God created His law, not me or anyone else. I pray that the sinners today rely on the word of God for truth. It is time that we KNOW God's word.
