Exodus 30

1 And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of acacia wood shalt thou make it.2 A cubit shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof; foursquare shall it be; and two cubits shall be the height thereof: the horns thereof shall be of one piece with it.3 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about.4 And two golden rings shalt thou make for it under the crown thereof; upon the two ribs thereof, upon the two sides of it shalt thou make them; and they shall be for places for staves wherewith to bear it.5 And thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.6 And thou shalt put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.7 And Aaron shall burn thereon incense of sweet spices: every morning, when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn it.8 And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before Jehovah throughout your generations.9 Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt-offering, nor meal-offering; and ye shall pour no drink-offering thereon.10 And Aaron shall make atonement upon the horns of it once in the year; with the blood of the sin-offering of atonement once in the year shall he make atonement for it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto Jehovah.

11 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,12 When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel, according to those that are numbered of them, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto Jehovah, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them.13 This they shall give, every one that passeth over unto them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary; (the shekel is twenty gerahs;) half a shekel for an offering to Jehovah.14 Every one that passeth over unto them that are numbered, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the offering of Jehovah.15 The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when they give the offering of Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.16 And thou shalt take the atonement money from the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tent of meeting; that it may be a memorial for the children of Israel before Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.

17 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,18 Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and the base thereof of brass, whereat to wash. And thou shalt put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.19 And Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat:20 when they go into the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.

22 Moreover Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,23 Take thou also unto thee the chief spices: of flowing myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty,24 and of cassia five hundred, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of olive oil a hin.25 And thou shalt make it a holy anointing oil, a perfume compounded after the art of the perfumer: it shall be a holy anointing oil.26 And thou shalt anoint therewith the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony,27 and the table and all the vessels thereof, and the candlestick and the vessels thereof, and the altar of incense,28 and the altar of burnt-offering with all the vessels thereof, and the laver and the base thereof.29 And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be a holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.32 Upon the flesh of man shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any like it, according to the composition thereof: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.

34 And Jehovah said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight;35 and thou shalt make of it incense, a perfume after the art of the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy:36 and thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tent of meeting, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.37 And the incense which thou shalt make, according to the composition thereof ye shall not make for yourselves: it shall be unto thee holy for Jehovah.38 Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereof, he shall be cut off from his people.

향단

1 “너는 아카시아나무로 분향할 단을 만들어라.

2 그것은 가로 세로를 각각 45센티미터로 하여 네모 반듯하게 하고 높이는 90센티미터로 하며 단 네 모퉁이에는 뿔이 나오도록 만들어야 한다.

3 그리고 너는 그 단의 윗면과 전후 좌우 면과 뿔을 순금으로 싸고 윗 가장자리에 금테를 둘러라.

4 금테 아래 양쪽에는 운반채를 꿸 금고리 두 개씩을 만들어 달고

5 아카시아나무로 운반채를 만들어 금으로 싸라.

6 그러고서 너는 십계명을 넣어 둔 2법궤 위, 곧 내가 너를 만날 속죄소를 가리는 바로 그 휘장 밖에 이 향단을 갖다 놓아라.

7 아론은 매일 아침 등을 손질할 때 이 단에 향기로운 향을 피워야 하며

8 또 저녁에 등불을 켤 때도 이 향을 피워야 한다. 이와 같이 너희는 나 여호와 앞에서 향을 피우는 일을 대대로 계속하라.

9 그리고 이 향단에는 내가 지정하지 않은 다른 향을 피워서는 안 되며 그 위에 동물이나 곡식이나 포도주를 제물로 바쳐서도 안 된다.

10 아론은 일 년에 한 번씩 속죄제물의 피를 향단 네 뿔에 발라 이 단을 정결하게 해야 한다. 이 향단은 나 여호와에게 아주 거룩한 것이다. 향단을 정결하게 하는 일을 대대로 계속하여라.”

생명의 값

11 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.

12 “너는 이스라엘 백성의 인구를 조사할 때 각자 자기 생명의 값을 나 여호와에게 바치게 하라. 그러면 네가 인구 조사를 할 때 그들에게 재앙이 미치지 않을 것이다.

13 인구 조사를 받는 사람은 은 3약 6그램을 나 여호와에게 바치게 하라.

14 20세 이상 인구 조사를 받는 사람은 모두 이 돈을 바쳐야 한다.

15 너희가 이 생명의 값을 나 여호와에게 바칠 때에는 부자라고 해서 더 많이 내거나 가난한 사람이라고 해서 덜 내는 일이 없도록 하라.

16 너는 이스라엘 백성에게서 이 돈을 받아 성막 비용으로 사용하여라. 나 여호와가 이것을 너희 생명의 값으로 여기고 너희를 기억하여 지켜 주겠다.”

놋으로 만든 물통

17 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.

18 “너는 놋으로 넓적한 물통과 그 받침을 만들어 성막과 단 사이에 두고 거기에 물을 채워라.

19-20 아론과 그의 아들들은 성막에 들어갈 때나 단에 가까이 가서 나 여호와에게 불로 제물을 태워 바치기 전에 이 물로 반드시 손발을 씻어야 한다.

21 이와 같이 그들이 손발을 씻어야 죽지 않을 것이다. 이것은 그들과 그 후손들이 대대로 지켜야 할 규정이다.”

거룩한 기름

22 여호와께서 다시 이렇게 말씀하셨다.

23 “너는 제일 좋은 향품, 곧 순수한 몰약 4약 6킬로그램, 향기로운 육계 5약 3킬로그램, 향기로운 창포 약 3킬로그램,

24 계피 약 6킬로그램, 그리고 감람기름 6약 4리터를 구하여

25 향을 만드는 방법으로 이 모든 것을 섞어 향기로운 거룩한 기름을 만들어라.

26 그런 다음 너는 이 기름을 성막, 법궤,

27 상과 그 모든 기구, 등대와 그 모든 기구, 향단,

28 번제단과 그 모든 기구, 그리고 넓적한 물통과 그 받침에 발라

29 그 모든 것을 아주 거룩한 것으로 구별하여라. 이것에 접촉하는 사람이나 물건이 다 거룩해질 것이다.

30 그리고 아론과 그의 아들들에게 이 기름을 발라 그들을 거룩하게 하여 제사장으로서 나를 섬기게 하라.

31 너는 또 이스라엘 백성에게 나 여호와의 말을 이렇게 전하여라. ‘이것은 너희가 나를 섬기는 데 대대로 사용해야 할 거룩한 기름이다.

32 너희는 이것을 제사장이 아닌 다른 사람의 몸에 부어서는 안 되며 또 이 기름의 제조법대로 이와 같은 것을 만들어서도 안 된다. 이것은 거룩한 것이니 너희가 거룩하게 여겨라.

33 이와 같은 것을 만들거나 이 기름을 제사장이 아닌 다른 사람에게 붓는 자는 누구든지 자기 백성 가운데서 제거될 것이다.’”

향

34 그런 다음 여호와께서 모세에게 또 말씀하셨다. “너는 7몰약과 섭조개 가루와 페르시아 수지와 순수한 유향을 똑같은 중량으로 섞어

35 향수를 만드는 방법으로 향을 만들고 거기에 소금을 쳐서 깨끗하고 거룩하게 하여라.

36 그리고 너는 그 향 얼마를 빻아 곱게 가루를 만들어 내가 너와 만날 성막 안 법궤 앞에 두어라. 이것은 너희에게 아주 거룩한 것이다.

37 너희는 이런 제조법으로 너희를 위해 향을 만들지 말고 그것을 나에게 바쳐진 거룩한 것으로 여겨라.

38 이 향의 냄새를 맡으려고 이와 같은 것을 만드는 자는 누구든지 자기 백성 가운데서 제거될 것이다.”
