Isaiah 3

1 For, behold, the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water;2 the mighty man, and the man of war; the judge, and the prophet, and the diviner, and the elder;3 the captain of fifty, and the honorable man, and the counsellor, and the expert artificer, and the skilful enchanter.4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor: the child shall behave himself proudly against the old man, and the base against the honorable.6 When a man shall take hold of his brother in the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand;7 in that day shall he lift up his voice, saying, I will not be a healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: ye shall not make me ruler of the people.8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against Jehovah, to provoke the eyes of his glory.9 The show of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have done evil unto themselves.10 Say ye of the righteous, that it shall be well with him; for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him; for what his hands have done shall be done unto him.12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they that lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.13 Jehovah standeth up to contend, and standeth to judge the peoples.14 Jehovah will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and the princes thereof: It is ye that have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses:15 what mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind the face of the poor? saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.16 Moreover Jehovah said, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with outstretched necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet;17 therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and Jehovah will lay bare their secret parts.18 In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, and the cauls, and the crescents;19 the pendants, and the bracelets, and the mufflers;20 the headtires, and the ankle chains, and the sashes, and the perfume-boxes, and the amulets;21 the rings, and the nose-jewels;22 the festival robes, and the mantles, and the shawls, and the satchels;23 the hand-mirrors, and the fine linen, and the turbans, and the veils.24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet spices there shall be rottenness; and instead of a girdle, a rope; and instead of well set hair, baldness; and instead of a robe, a girding of sackcloth; branding instead of beauty.25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she shall be desolate and sit upon the ground.

이사야서 3

예루살렘의 혼돈

1 주 만군의 주님께서 예루살렘과 유다에서 백성이 의지하는 것을 모두 없애실 것이다. 그들이 의지하는 모든 빵과 모든 물을 없애시며,

2 용사와 군인과 재판관과 예언자, 점쟁이와 장로,

3 오십부장과 귀족과 군 고문관, 능숙한 마술사와 능란한 요술쟁이를 없애실 것이다.

4 “내가 철부지들을 그들의 지배자로 세우고, 어린것들이 그들을 다스리게 하겠다.

5 백성이 서로 억누르고, 사람이 서로 치고, 이웃이 서로 싸우고, 젊은이가 노인에게 대들고, 천한 자가 존귀한 사람에게 예의없이 대할 것이다.”

6 한 사람이 제 집안의 한 식구를 붙잡고 “너는 옷이라도 걸쳤으니, 우리의 통치자가 되어 다오. 이 폐허에서 우리를 다시 일으켜 다오” 하고 부탁을 하여도,

7 바로 그 날에, 그가 큰소리로 부르짖을 것이다. “나에게는 묘안이 없다. 나의 집에는 빵도 없고 옷도 없다. 나를 이 백성의 통치자로 세우지 말아라.”

8 드디어 예루살렘이 넘어지고 유다는 쓰러진다. 그들이 말과 행동으로 주님께 대항하며, 하나님의 영광스러운 현존을 모독하였기 때문이다.

9 그들의 안색이 자신들의 죄를 고발한다. 그들이 소돔과 같이 자기들의 죄를 드러내 놓고 말하며, 숨기려 하지도 않는다. 그들에게 화가 미칠 것이다. 그들은 스스로 재앙을 불러들인다.

10 의로운 사람에게 말하여라. 그들에게 복이 있고, 그들이 한 일에 보답을 받고, 기쁨을 누릴 것이라고 말하여라.

11 악한 자에게는 화가 미칠 것이다. 재난이 그들을 뒤덮을 것이다. 그들이 저지른 그대로 보복을 받을 것이다.

12 “아이들이 내 백성을 억누르며, t여인들이 백성을 다스린다. 내 백성아, 네 지도자들이 길을 잘못 들게 하며, 가야 할 길에서 벗어나게 하는구나.”

주님께서 백성을 심판하시다

13 주님께서 재판하시려고 법정에 앉으신다. 그의 백성을 심판하시려고 들어오신다.

14 주님께서 백성의 장로들과 백성의 지도자들을 세워 놓고, 재판을 시작하신다. “나의 포도원을 망쳐 놓은 자들이 바로 너희다. 가난한 사람들을 약탈해서, 너희 집을 가득 채웠다.

15 어찌하여 너희는 나의 백성을 짓밟으며, 어찌하여 너희는 가난한 사람들의 얼굴을 마치 맷돌질하듯 짓뭉갰느냐?” 만군의 하나님이신 주님의 말씀이다.

예루살렘 여인들에게 경고하시다

16 주님께서 말씀하신다. “시온의 딸들이 교만하여 목을 길게 빼고 다니며, 호리는 눈짓을 하고 다니며, 꼬리를 치고 걸으며, 발목에서 잘랑잘랑 소리를 내는구나.

17 그러므로 나 주가 시온의 딸들 정수리에 딱지가 생기게 하며, 나 주가 그들의 하체를 드러낼 것이다.”

18 그 날이 오면, 주님께서는 여인들에게서, 발목 장식, 머리 망사, 반달 장식, 19 귀고리, 팔찌, 머리 쓰개, 20 머리 장식, 발찌, 허리띠, 향수병, 부적, 21 가락지, 코걸이, 22 고운 옷, 겉옷, 외투, 손지갑, 23 손거울, 모시 옷, 머릿수건, 너울 들을 다 벗기실 것이다. 24 그들에게서는 향수 내음 대신에 썩는 냄새가 나고, 고운 허리띠를 띠던 허리에는 새끼줄이 감기고, 곱게 빗어 넘기던 머리는 다 빠져서 대머리가 되고, 고운 옷을 걸치던 몸에는 상복을 걸치고, 고운 얼굴 대신에 t수치의 자국만 남을 것이다.

25 너를 따르던 남자들이 칼에 쓰러지며, 너를 따르던 용사들이 전쟁터에서 쓰러질 것이다.

26  시온의 성문들이 슬퍼하며 곡할 것이요, 황폐된 시온은 땅바닥에 주저앉을 것이다.
