Isaiah 52

1 Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, sit on thy throne, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bonds of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.3 For thus saith Jehovah, Ye were sold for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.4 For thus saith the Lord Jehovah, My people went down at the first into Egypt to sojourn there: and the Assyrian hath oppressed them without cause.5 Now therefore, what do I here, saith Jehovah, seeing that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them do howl, saith Jehovah, and my name continually all the day is blasphemed.6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak; behold, it is I.7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace, that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!8 The voice of thy watchmen! they lift up the voice, together do they sing; for they shall see eye to eye, when Jehovah returneth to Zion.9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem; for Jehovah hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.10 Jehovah hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; cleanse yourselves, ye that bear the vessels of Jehovah.12 For ye shall not go out in haste, neither shall ye go by flight: for Jehovah will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rearward.13 Behold, my servant shall deal wisely, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.14 Like as many were astonished at thee (his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men),15 so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they understand.

하나님께서 예루살렘을 건지실 것이다

1 너 시온아, 깨어라, 깨어라! 힘을 내어라. 거룩한 성 예루살렘아, 아름다운 옷을 입어라. 이제 다시는 할례받지 않은 자와 부정한 자가 너에게로 들어오지 못할 것이다.

2  예루살렘아, 먼지를 털고 일어나서 보좌에 앉아라. 포로된 딸 시온아, 너의 목에서 사슬을 풀어 내어라.

3 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. “너희가 값없이 팔려 갔으니, 돈을 내지 않고 속량될 것이다.”

4 주 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. “나의 백성이 일찍이 이집트로 내려가서, 거기에서 머물러 살려고 하였으나, 앗시리아가 까닭없이 그들을 억압하였다.”

5 주님께서 말씀하신다. “여기 바빌로니아에서도 똑같은 일이 일어났다. 나의 백성이 까닭도 없이 여기로 사로잡혀 왔고, 지배자들은 t그들을 조롱한다. 날마다 쉬지 않고 나의 이름을 모독하고 있으니, 지금 내가 무슨 일을 하여야 하겠느냐?” 주님께서 하신 말씀이다.

6 “반드시 나의 백성이 나의 이름을 알게 될 것이다. 그 날이 오면, 반드시 나의 백성은 내가 하나님이라는 것과 내가 그들에게 말한 하나님이었다는 것을 알게 될 것이다.”

7 놀랍고도 반가워라! 희소식을 전하려고 산을 넘어 달려오는 저 발이여! 평화가 왔다고 외치며, 복된 희소식을 전하는구나. 구원이 이르렀다고 선포하면서, 시온을 보고 이르기를 “너의 하나님께서 통치하신다” 하는구나.

8 성을 지키는 파수꾼들의 소리를 들어 보아라. 그들이 소리를 높여서, 기뻐하며 외친다. 주님께서 시온으로 돌아오실 때에, 오시는 그 모습을 그들이 직접 눈으로 볼 수 있을 것이다.

9 너희 예루살렘의 황폐한 곳들아, 함성을 터뜨려라. 함께 기뻐 외쳐라. 주님께서 당신의 백성을 위로하셨고, 예루살렘을 속량하셨다.

10 주님께서 모든 이방 나라들이 보는 앞에서, 당신의 거룩하신 능력을 드러내시니, 땅 끝에 있는 사람들은 모두 우리 하나님의 구원을 볼 것이다.

11 너희는 떠나거라, 그 곳에서 떠나 나오너라. 부정한 것을 만지지 말아라. 그 가운데서 나오너라. 주님의 그릇을 운반하는 사람들아, 너희는 스스로 정결하게 하여라.

12 그러나 이제는 주님께서 너희 앞에 가시며, 이스라엘의 하나님께서 너희 뒤를 지켜 주시니, 너희가 나올 때에 황급히 나오지 않아도 되며, 도망 치듯 달아나지 않아도 된다.

고난받는 종

13 “나의 종이 매사에 t형통할 것이니, 그가 받들어 높임을 받고, 크게 존경을 받게 될 것이다.

14 전에는 그의 얼굴이 남들보다 더 안 되어 보였고, 그 모습이 다른 사람들보다 더욱 상해서, t그를 보는 사람마다 모두 놀랐다.

15 이제는 그가 많은 이방 나라를 t놀라게 할 것이며, 왕들은 그 앞에서 입을 다물 것이다. 왕들은 이제까지 듣지도 못한 일들을 볼 것이며, 아무도 말하여 주지 않은 일들을 볼 것이다.”
