Luke 15

1 Now all the publicans and sinners were drawing near unto him to hear him.2 And both the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.3 And he spake unto them this parable, saying,4 What man of you, having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and his neighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.7 I say unto you, that even so there shall be joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.8 Or what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she find it?9 And when she hath found it, she calleth together her friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I had lost.10 Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:12 and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of thy substance that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.13 And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together and took his journey into a far country; and there he wasted his substance with riotous living.14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want.15 And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.17 But when he came to himself he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish here with hunger!18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight:19 I am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of thy hired servants.20 And he arose, and came to his father. But while he was yet afar off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight: I am no more worthy to be called thy son.22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:23 and bring the fatted calf, and kill it, and let us eat, and make merry:24 for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing.26 And he called to him one of the servants, and inquired what these things might be.27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.28 But he was angry, and would not go in: and his father came out, and entreated him.29 But he answered and said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, and I never transgressed a commandment of thine; and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:30 but when this thy son came, who hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou killedst for him the fatted calf.31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine.32 But it was meet to make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

찾고 기뻐함

1 많은 세무원과 죄인들이 예수님의 말씀을 들으려고 모여들었다.

2 그러나 바리새파 사람들과 율법학자들은 “이 사람이 죄인들을 환영하고 함께 음식까지 먹는다” 하고 투덜댔다.

3 그래서 예수님은 그들에게 비유를 들어 이렇게 말씀하셨다.

4 “너희 중 어떤 사람에게 양 백 마리가 있는데 그 가운데 한 마리를 잃으면 아흔아홉 마리를 들판에 두고 잃은 양을 찾아다니지 않겠느냐?

5 그러다가 찾으면 기뻐서 양을 어깨에 메고

6 집에 돌아와 친구들과 이웃 사람들을 불러모으고 ‘나와 함께 기뻐합시다. 잃은 내 양을 찾았습니다!’ 하고 말할 것이다.

7 이와 같이 하늘에서는 회개할 필요가 없는 의로운 사람 아흔아홉보다 죄인 하나가 회개하는 것을 더 기뻐한다.

8 “또 어떤 여자에게 열 2드라크마가 있는데 그 중에 하나를 잃으면 등불을 켜 가지고 집 안을 쓸며 그것을 열심히 찾지 않겠느냐?

9 그러다가 찾으면 친구들과 이웃 사람들을 불러모으고 ‘나와 함께 기뻐합시다. 잃은 드라크마를 찾았습니다’ 하고 말할 것이다.

10 이와 같이 죄인 하나가 회개하면 하나님의 천사들이 기뻐한다.”

11 예수님은 다시 말씀하셨다. “어떤 사람에게 두 아들이 있었다.

12 그런데 작은 아들이 ‘아버지, 제 몫으로 돌아올 재산을 주십시오’ 하고 말하였다. 그래서 아버지는 재산을 갈라 두 아들에게 나누어 주었다.

13 며칠 후 작은 아들은 자기 재산을 다 정리하여 먼 나라로 가서 방탕한 생활을 하다가 재산을 모두 날려 버렸다.

14 가진 것은 다 써 버리고 그 나라에 심한 흉년까지 들어 비로소 굶주리게 되자

15 그는 하는 수 없이 그 나라의 어떤 시민에게 가서 몸붙여 살게 되었는데 주인이 그를 들로 보내 돼지를 치게 하였다.

16 그는 너무도 배가 고파 돼지가 먹는 쥐엄나무 열매로 배를 채우려 했지만 그것마저 주는 사람이 없었다.

17 그제서야 그는 제정신이 들어 말하였다. ‘내 아버지의 집에는 양식이 풍부하여 많은 일꾼들이 먹고도 남는데 나는 여기서 굶어 죽는구나!

18 그렇다. 아버지에게 가서 이렇게 말씀 드려야지:아버지, 제가 하늘과 아버지께 죄를 지어

19 이젠 아버지의 아들이라고 할 자격도 없습니다. 다만 저를 일꾼의 하나로 써 주십시오.’

20 그러고서 그는 일어나 아버지에게 갔다. 그러나 아버지는 그가 멀리서 오고 있는 것을 보고 측은한 마음이 들어 달려가서 3아들을 얼싸안고 입을 맞추었다.

21 그러자 아들은 ‘아버지, 제가 하늘과 아버지께 죄를 지어 이젠 아버지의 아들이라고 할 자격도 없습니다4(다만 저를 일꾼의 하나로 써 주십시오)’라고 하였다.

22 그런데도 아버지는 종들에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. ‘어서 제일 좋은 옷을 내어다가 입히고 손가락에 반지를 끼우고 신발을 신겨라.

23 그리고 살진 송아지를 끌어와 잡아라. 우리 함께 먹고 즐기자.

24 나의 이 아들은 죽었다가 다시 살아났고 잃었다가 다시 찾았다.’ 그러자 그들은 즐기기 시작했다.

25 “한편 밭에 나갔던 큰 아들은 돌아오다가 집 근처에 왔을 때 풍악 소리와 춤추는 소리를 듣고

26 종 하나를 불러 무슨 일이냐고 물었다.

27 이때 그 종은 ‘당신의 동생이 돌아왔습니다. 그래서 5주인께서는 건강한 모습으로 돌아온 그를 다시 맞아들이게 되었다고 살진 송아지를 잡았습니다’ 하고 대답하였다.

28 그러자 그는 화를 내며 집에 들어가려고 하지 않았다. 그의 아버지가 나와서 사정했으나

29 그는 아버지에게 이렇게 말하였다. ‘제가 여러 해 동안 아버지를 섬겨 왔고 아버지의 명령을 어긴 일이 없는데도 제게는 친구들과 함께 즐기라고 염소 새끼 한 마리도 주신 일이 없습니다.

30 그런데 창녀들과 놀아나다 아버지의 재산을 다 없애 버린 동생이 돌아왔다고 아버지는 살진 송아지까지 잡으셨습니다.’

31 그래서 아버지가 대답하였다. ‘얘야, 너는 항상 나와 함께 있으니 내가 가진 모든 것이 다 네 것이 아니냐?

32 그러나 네 동생은 죽었다가 다시 살아났고 잃었다가 다시 찾았으므로 우리가 즐거워하고 기뻐하는 것이 마땅하다.’”
