Numbers 2

1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,2 The children of Israel shall encamp every man by his own standard, with the ensigns of their fathers’ houses: over against the tent of meeting shall they encamp round about.3 And those that encamp on the east side toward the sunrising shall be they of the standard of the camp of Judah, according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.4 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.5 And those that encamp next unto him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and the prince of the children of Issachar shall be Nethanel the son of Zuar.6 And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.7 And the tribe of Zebulun: and the prince of the children of Zebulun shall be Eliab the son of Helon.8 And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.9 All that were numbered of the camp of Judah were a hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, according to their hosts. They shall set forth first.

10 On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.11 And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.12 And those that encamp next unto him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the prince of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.13 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.14 And the tribe of Gad: and the prince of the children of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.15 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and five thousand and six hundred and fifty.16 All that were numbered of the camp of Reuben were a hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, according to their hosts. And they shall set forth second.

17 Then the tent of meeting shall set forward, with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camps: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place, by their standards.

18 On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.19 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty thousand and five hundred.20 And next unto him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: and the prince of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.21 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.22 And the tribe of Benjamin: and the prince of the children of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni.23 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.24 All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were a hundred thousand and eight thousand and a hundred, according to their hosts. And they shall set forth third.

25 On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.26 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.27 And those that encamp next unto him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the prince of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ochran.28 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.29 And the tribe of Naphtali: and the prince of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.30 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.31 All that were numbered of the camp of Dan were a hundred thousand and fifty and seven thousand and six hundred. They shall set forth hindmost by their standards.

32 These are they that were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses: all that were numbered of the camps according to their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as Jehovah commanded Moses.34 Thus did the children of Israel; according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so they encamped by their standards, and so they set forward, every one by their families, according to their fathers’ houses.

부대 편성 및 행군 순서

1 주님께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하셨다. 2 “이스라엘 자손이 진을 칠 때에는, 회막을 중심으로 하여 그 둘레에 진을 치되, 각기 자기가 속한 부대기가 있는 곳에다 자기 가문의 깃발을 함께 세우고 진을 쳐야 한다. 3 동쪽, 곧 해 뜨는 쪽에 진을 칠 부대는 유다 진영의 깃발 아래에 소속된 부대들이다. 유다 자손의 지휘관은 암미나답의 아들 나손이다. 4 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 칠만 사천육백 명이다. 5 유다 자손의 한쪽 옆에는 잇사갈 지파가 진을 친다. 잇사갈 자손의 지휘관은 수알의 아들 느다넬이다. 6 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 오만 사천사백 명이다. 7 유다 자손의 또 다른 한쪽 옆에는 스불론 지파가 진을 친다. 스불론 자손의 지휘관은 헬론의 아들 엘리압이다. 8 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 오만 칠천사백 명이다. 9 유다 진영에 소속된 각 부대의 군인 수는 모두 더하여 십팔만 육천사백 명이다. 행군할 때에는 유다 진영이 첫 번째로 출발한다. 10 남쪽에 진을 칠 부대는 르우벤 진영의 깃발 아래 소속된 부대들이다. 르우벤 자손의 지휘관은 스데울의 아들 엘리술이다. 11 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 사만 육천오백 명이다. 12  르우벤 자손의 한쪽 옆에는 시므온 지파가 진을 친다. 시므온 자손의 지휘관은 수리삿대의 아들 슬루미엘이다. 13 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 오만 구천삼백 명이다. 14 르우벤 자손의 또 다른 한쪽 옆에는 갓 지파가 진을 친다. 갓 자손의 지휘관은 르우엘의 아들 엘리아삽이다. 15 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 모두 더하여 사만 오천육백오십 명이다. 16 르우벤 진영에 소속된 각 부대의 군인 수는 모두 더하여 십오만 천사백오십 명이다. 행군할 때에는 르우벤 진영이 두 번째로 출발한다. 17 다음에는 회막이 레위 사람의 진영과 함께 출발하여, 모든 군대의 가운데 서서 나아간다. 각 부대는 진을 칠 때와 같은 순서로 출발하되, 각기 자기의 부대기를 앞세우고 제자리를 지켜야 한다. 18 서쪽에 진을 칠 부대는 에브라임 진영의 깃발 아래 소속된 부대들이다. 에브라임 자손의 지휘관은 암미훗의 아들 엘리사마이다. 19 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 사만 오백 명이다. 20  에브라임 자손의 한쪽 옆에는 므낫세 지파가 진을 친다. 므낫세 자손의 지휘관은 브다술의 아들 가말리엘이다. 21 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 삼만 이천이백 명이다. 22 에브라임 자손의 또 다른 한쪽 옆에는 베냐민 지파가 진을 친다. 베냐민 자손의 지휘관은 기드오니의 아들 아비단이다. 23 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 삼만 오천사백 명이다. 24 에브라임 진영에 소속된 각 부대의 군인 수는 모두 더하여 십만 팔천백 명이다. 행군할 때에는 에브라임 진영이 세 번째로 출발한다. 25 북쪽에 진을 칠 부대는 단 진영의 깃발 아래 소속된 부대들이다. 단 자손의 지휘관은 암미삿대의 아들 아히에셀이다. 26 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 육만 이천칠백 명이다. 27 단 자손의 한쪽 옆에는 아셀 지파가 진을 친다. 아셀 자손의 지휘관은 오그란의 아들 바기엘이다. 28 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 사만 천오백 명이다. 29  단 자손의 또 다른 한쪽 옆에는 납달리 지파가 진을 친다. 납달리 자손의 지휘관은 에난의 아들 아히라이다. 30 그가 이끌 부대의 군인 수는 오만 삼천사백 명이다. 31 단 진영에 소속된 각 부대의 군인 수는 모두 더하여 십오만 칠천육백 명이다. 행군할 때에는 단 진영이 그들의 부대기를 앞세우고 마지막으로 출발한다.” 32 다음은 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 집안별로 병적부에 오른 사람들의 숫자이다. 모든 진영 각 부대에 소속된 군인의 수는 모두 더하여 육십만 삼천오백오십 명이다. 33 그러나 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 레위 사람들은, 주님께서 모세에게 명하신 대로, 병적부에 올리지 않았다. 34 이처럼 이스라엘 자손은, 주님께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 다 하였다. 그리하여 그들은 각기 가문별, 가족별로, 자기들의 깃발 아래에, 진도 치고 행군도 하였다.
