Numbers 9

1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,2 Moreover let the children of Israel keep the passover in its appointed season.3 In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in its appointed season: according to all the statutes of it, and according to all the ordinances thereof, shall ye keep it.4 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.5 And they kept the passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at even, in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.6 And there were certain men, who were unclean by reason of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:7 and those men said unto him, We are unclean by reason of the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer the oblation of Jehovah in its appointed season among the children of Israel?8 And Moses said unto them, Stay ye, that I may hear what Jehovah will command concerning you.

9 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,10 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your generations shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be on a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto Jehovah.11 In the second month on the fourteenth day at even they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs:12 they shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break a bone thereof: according to all the statute of the passover they shall keep it.13 But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people; because he offered not the oblation of Jehovah in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto Jehovah; according to the statute of the passover, and according to the ordinance thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one statute, both for the sojourner, and for him that is born in the land.

15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony: and at even it was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.16 So it was alway: the cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night.17 And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel encamped.18 At the commandment of Jehovah the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of Jehovah they encamped: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they remained encamped.19 And when the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of Jehovah, and journeyed not.20 And sometimes the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Jehovah they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Jehovah they journeyed.21 And sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they journeyed: or if it continued by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.22 Whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, abiding thereon, the children of Israel remained encamped, and journeyed not; but when it was taken up, they journeyed.23 At the commandment of Jehovah they encamped, and at the commandment of Jehovah they journeyed: they kept the charge of Jehovah, at the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.

두 번째 유월절 행사

1  이스라엘 자손이 이집트 땅에서 나온 이듬해 t첫째 달에, 주님께서 시내 광야에서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 2 “이스라엘 자손은 정해진 때에 유월절을 지켜야 한다. 3 그 정해진 때 곧 이 달 십사일 해거름에, 모든 율례와 규례에 따라서 유월절을 지켜야 한다.” 4  모세는 이스라엘 자손에게 유월절을 지키라고 말하였다. 5 그래서 정월 곧 그 달 십사일 해거름에, 주님께서 시내 광야에서 모세를 시켜 명하신 대로, 모든 이스라엘 자손이 따랐다. 6 그런데 주검에 몸이 닿아 부정을 타서, 그 날 유월절을 지킬 희생제물을 바칠 수 없는 사람이 생겼다. 그 날, 그들이 모세와 아론 앞으로 나와서, 7 모세에게 물었다. “우리가 비록 주검 때문에 부정을 타긴 했지만, 그렇다고 해도, 지정된 때에 이스라엘 자손이 주님께 제물을 바치는데, 우리만 못 바칠 까닭이 어디에 있습니까?” 8 모세가 그들에게 대답하였다. “기다리시오. 주님께서 당신들에게 어떻게 지시를 내리실지, 들어 봐야겠소.” 9 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 10 “너는 이스라엘 자손에게 다음과 같이 일러라. 너희들이나 너희 자손들은, 주검을 만져 더럽게 되었을 때나 먼 길을 떠나 있을 때나, 모두 주 앞에 유월절을 지켜야 한다. 11 그러한 사람들은 다음 달 십사일 해거름에 유월절 예식을 행하면서, 누룩을 넣지 않고 만든 빵과 쓴 나물과 함께 유월절 양을 먹도록 하여라. 12 다음날 아침까지는 아무것도 남겨서는 안 되며, 희생제물의 뼈를 부러뜨려서도 안 된다. 유월절의 모든 율례대로 그렇게, 그들은 유월절을 지켜야 한다. 13 그러나 정결한 사람이나 길을 떠나지 않은 사람이 유월절을 지키지 않으면, 그 사람은 자기 백성에게서 끊어질 것이다. 나 주에게 바치는 제물을, 정해진 때에 가져 오지 않았기 때문이다. 그는 자기의 잘못에 대해 벌을 받아야만 한다. 14 너희들과 함께 살고 있는 외국인이 나 주에게 유월절을 지키고자 할 때에도, 그는 유월절의 율례와 규례를 따라야 한다. 그 땅에 몸붙여 사는 외국인에게나 그 땅에서 난 본토인에게나 같은 율례가 적용되어야 한다.”

길을 안내한 구름

(출 40:34-38)

15 성막을 세우던 날, 구름이 성막, 곧 t증거궤가 보관된 성막을 덮었다. 저녁에는 성막 위의 구름이 불처럼 보였으며, 아침까지 그렇게 계속되었다. 16 그것은 늘 그러하였다. 구름이 성막을 덮고 있었으며, 밤에는 그 구름이 불처럼 보였다. 17 구름이 성막 위로 걷혀 올라갈 때면, 이스라엘 자손은 그것을 보고 난 다음에 길을 떠났고, 구름이 내려와 머물면, 이스라엘 자손은 바로 그 자리에 진을 쳤다. 18 이스라엘 자손은 이렇게 주님의 지시에 따라 길을 떠났고, 또한 주님의 지시에 따라 진을 쳤다. 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있는 날 동안에는, 진에 머물렀다. 19 그 구름이 성막 위에 여러 날 동안 오래 머물면, 이스라엘 자손은 주님의 명을 지켜 길을 떠나지 않았다. 20 구름이 성막 위에 며칠만 머무를 때도 있었다. 그 때에는 그 때대로 주님의 지시에 따라서 진을 치고, 또 주님의 지시에 따라 길을 떠나곤 하였다. 21 구름이 저녁부터 아침까지만 머물러 있을 때도 있었다. 그럴 때에는 아침이 되어 구름이 걷혀 올라가면, 그들은 길을 떠났다. 낮이든지 밤이든지 구름만 걷혀 올라가면, 그들은 길을 떠났다. 22 때로는 이틀이나 한 달이나 또는 몇 달씩 계속하여 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있으면, 이스라엘 자손은 그 곳에 진을 친 채 길을 떠나지 않았다. 그들은 구름이 걷혀 올라가야만 길을 떠났다. 23 이렇게 그들은 주님의 지시에 따라 진을 쳤고, 주님의 지시에 따라 길을 떠났다. 그들은, 주님께서 모세를 시켜 분부하신 대로, 주님의 명령을 지켰다.
