Psalm 15
1 Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, And speaketh truth in his heart;
3 He that slandereth not with his tongue, Nor doeth evil to his friend, Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor;
4 In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honoreth them that fear Jehovah; He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not;
5 He that putteth not out his money to interest, Nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
Psalmen 15
1 Een psalm van David.
Wie mag in uw huis wonen, HERE? Wie mag bij U zijn op uw heilige berg?
2 Wie eerlijk en oprecht door het leven gaat
en altijd de waarheid spreekt.
3 Wie niet kwaadspreekt,
zijn naaste geen kwaad doet en voorkomt dat een ander wordt belasterd.
4 Degene die alles wat zonde is, afwijst
en respect heeft voor wie God zoeken en ontzag voor Hem hebben. Als zo iemand in zijn eigen nadeel een belofte heeft gedaan, zal hij die toch nakomen.
5 Hij zal zijn geld niet misbruiken
voor woekerpraktijken en zich niet laten omkopen ten koste van onschuldigen. Wie zo door het leven gaat, kan op Gods bescherming rekenen.
