Sapphira and Ananias where there to try and break up the unity of the church and where under direct orders from Satan. The biggest clue aside from what Peter says is in v13-14. The "rest" that "durst" (dared) not join were more people sent there by Satan to break up the unity of the church and yet there were added to them multitudes of men and women. Notice the "and" in the start of these two verses. So we know this is concerning the same time frame and probably was just minutes to possibly a few hours after the deaths of Sapphira and Ananias.
