Run to win or to finish

So are we running the race to win? or are we running it to cross the finish the line?
There is only one winner and that is Jesus Christ. He won the race, all we have to do is finish it. This doesn't mean we can just walk across the line, we need to make sure we run as hard as we can and do the very best we can do. We need to train everyday without excuses.
Dear God, I thank you for giving me the opportunity to run the race. I know some times stop, and my breaks are to long and I get distracted, but I will not quit. I may not be the fastest but I will be persistent.
