disobedience is a killer
13. So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord. He failed to obey the Lord’s command, and he even consulted a medium 14 .of asking the Lordfor guidance. So the Lordkilled him and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse. 1 Chronicles 10:13-14 NLT
Saul was the first king of Israel a nation that God himself birthed. He had every chance to be a great leader but refused to obey and go to God for guidance for his choices a ruler of the Jews. As a result trying to lead his own way he died and David became king.
This is a great reminder to me today that outside of God's guidance and protection I am doomed to live a spiritually dead life full of consequences. I must choose each day to obey God and got to His Word for instructions.
God give me the strength to obey and consult you daily. help me to resist going to any other source other than You Word and those who are Godly that you put in my life.
