14 So the priests and the Levites purified themselves in order to bring the Ark of the Lord, the God of Israel, to Jerusalem. 15 Then the Levites carried the Ark of God on their shoulders with its carrying poles, just as the Lord had instructed Moses. 1 Chronicles 15:14-15

The Levites where the only tribe assigned to carry the Ark of the covenant. In fact not to much earlier we saw that Uzzah touched it to help keep it from falling a died. This was an important job they had in relocating the Ark for the nation of Israel.

I can't imagine how nerve racking this must have been for the Levites not to make a mistake a carrying the Ark their lives literally depended on it. At they same time I can't help but think how important my life is to God. He did so
much to prepare the way for Jesus to one day come and sacrifice His life for me. And I have been fortunate enough to know him personally now. It's as if God is telling me to spread His Word as if my life depended on it because through my life other lives will be saved from death.

Thank you Lord for the calling you have placed on my life. Help me to serve you and represent you today as if my life depended on it.
