David knew he was chosen by God and in was evident in that God gave him victory in all that he did. While wanting to build a permanent place the Ark of the Covenant he was told that he would not be the one. In light of what may be devastating news after all that he had been through with Saul I love that he accepts it and continues to serve God.

I want to see God really move in my life for as many years as He has me here and I know I already have and will. However I also have to realize that I must be satisfied with what God has me doing right now and just serve him. Some of the strong desires I have for our church and community may come through someone else and I must be content and ok with that.

God, thank you for reminding me today that I am a part of your plan just not the entire part. You use others to continue Your work on the world. Help me to be satisfied and content in all that you use me for in this lifetime you have given
me.
