Looking at this verse from end to beginning shows me the progression of any faith and love I demonstrate. Is it in Romans where Pauls writes, Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God? The point is for me to grasp how important abiding in the Word is. My hope, faith, and love will be in direct proportion to my time meditating on God's Word.
God's Word builds hope, and hope is the well spring suppling of my faith and love. God's Word defeats doubt and selfishness.
