1. Be willing to climb a tree.
If you want to be closer to God, it is time to find a church. But here is a warning: you will never find the perfect church. Never. So, set 'perfection' aside and find the right church for you. Just do it.
2. Don't let 'life' stop you.
Like Zacheaus, your life is full. You are busy, you have a family and kids, you have your hobbies, you have plans and stuff to do, and basically, you have a 'life'. Don't let this life stop you from climbing the tree.
3. Start making personal changes.
Make a list of the things you can change now and forget about the things you can't change. Then, tell God your intentions.
Only you can make things right. Only you can take action. Frankly, other people don't care what you do and will make fun of you for trying to climb the tree. But, today, it is up to you. Go for it.
