Have you ever been confused about what exactly God has in mind when he prompts us to act like children? I mean, come on - Kids these days (and throughout time!) are mean, self-centered, and demanding! I just don't think those are the qualities God wants for us.

Ah, but there is a redeeming quality about children that this verse exemplifies: imitation.

So many times, the childhood games involve pretending to be this or that... doctor or teacher, soldier or police. And then they put their efforts towards their parents! Usually they find the worst of our characteristics to mimic.

But if we turn and do the same to God - well, there may be characteristics that are too far beyond us, but there really is no bad trait in God - so anything we want to imitate will bless him, bless others, and bless ourselves.

So look to his qualities, and act like children!
