Hardened?
What is going on here? Why would the disciples of all people have hardened hearts? They have seen all the miracles so far, feeding 5,000, walking on the sea, turning water into wine and yet still they have hardened hearts.
In an odd way this is encouraging to me. I often feel my heart is hardened. I may follow Christ with my head and with truth but then I miss His miracles all around me; the way in which He uses followers of His to touch peoples lives through acts of kindness, generosity and compassion. I want to be someone who has a soft heart, the good thing is that down the road, the disciples finally did realize with their whole heart that He was the Christ, the Messiah. There is still hope!
In the meantime it would be a huge miracle to see the price at the pumps come down ... even a little!
