Very weird verse, how do you ride a donkey and a colt at the same time?

I have read this is a mis-interpretation of Zechariah 9:9, based on translation from the original Hebrew text into Greek. The author of Matthew was using the Greek source as his basis for indicating that Christ fulfilled this prophesy.
