“But will God really live on earth among people? Why, even the highest heavens cannot contain you. How much less this Temple I have built! 2 Chronicles 6:18
King Solomon always knew that no matter how grand the temple he built for God was He was still bigger. He understood without having ever taken any theology class that God was immeasurable and uncontainable. But yet he still did the very best could to honor God with an amazing Temple not that God could be contained but that the world may know.
I know that God is bigger than I can ever imagine and yet at the same time amazing enough to live in my heart. Taking the example of Solomon I need to give my very best to Him always to honor how great He is. Not because of whom I am but because of whom He is in me. This will in turn be a witness to the world and a testamony of His grace, mercy and love for the world.
God thank you for reminding me today that you are simply too mighty for even words. You are the Lord of Lord’s and King of King’s.
