Understanding Brings Pleasure

18:2 A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.
A. There is pleasure in understanding, the fool just doesn't get it.
1. God has made our minds in a such a way that they delight in learning, in figuring things out and in having accurate perceptions of how life works.
2. Pleasure seekers can find it in having understanding of God's work, his will and his ways.
3. The fool, though constantly seeking after pleasure, misses it because he has his own ideas about how to get it which don't agree with God's way.
4. One of the very things that God designed for pleasure (understanding) is totally lost on the fool, as a result, the fool experiences the opposite of pleasure...pain.
