Your problem might not be with God. Your problem might be with the vehicles we use to get to God.
As long as Paul was following his "religion", he was not getting any closer to knowing God.
If Jesus really rose from the dead, that means God actually came to earth to connect with us.
Any religion that emphasizes things you need to do instead of God's free offer of forgiveness and a personal relationship with Him will result in you feeling controlled not restored.
If u have a personal relationship with God, then you should not just be "going through the motions".
Why should you settle for religion when you can have a relationship?
Bottom Line:: Religion is not the path to God, forgiveness through Jesus is.
