Hold on, for one more day

What does Jesus mean when he tells Mary, "Don't cling to me"? Is he being literal, addressing the cosmic state of his physical presence? Or even in this glorious moment is he teaching us?
When we live in Christ's image we are not clinging to him, or to ourselves for that matter. We should be giving ourselves away and telling all we can about the grace that he offers. When we let go of our selfishness and "me centered" goals we can fulfill God's calling for our lives. We can address bringing about peace on earth right now if we love without holding back. If we hold onto a preconceived  notion of who Jesus is and how we should act then we are not leaving the door open for love to flow thru and act. As we celebrate the resurrection, let us remember that it is not only for us, but rather the good news for all.
