Take the right advice!
But Rehoboam rejected the advice of the older men and instead asked the opinion of the young men who had grown up with him and were now his advisers. 2 Chronicles 10:8
The older men not only had experience because of their age, but they had served with Solomon and knew what the people needed. Rehoboam was unwise to reject their advise and go with that of his friends with no experience and little knowledge.
This is a great reminder to always seek out advice from elders and those who have been their before me and have served. They have experience and can help lead me and give me great direction.
