Once, for all

It repeatedly amazes me that Christ suffered once for all sin. I can grasp that, at the time of my accepting Him, all my sins to that point were forgiven, but I struggle with my sins since that time and even future sins I have not yet committed, being included in His grace. I know it in my head, but my heart wants me to punish myself.
