involving God

David was close to God. He asked God where he was to go and asked for specific direction. He would not go anywhere without involving God. He cared about the blessing of the Lord in all he did.

I guess I have been taking for granted the relationship I have with the Lord and have not involved Him in my daily life. I don't ask Him where I should go. I don't regularly go to Him for direction. I think that has caused me great pain in my recent past. I certainly don't want my life to be cursed with the would haves should haves. I don't want to be in the same place I was a year, five years, ten years ago because I did not come to the throne of God and ask, "Where to now, Lord?"

Father, forgive me for my total self-reliance and now I come to You, "where to now?"
