Burning Hearts

Are you led by passion? Your faith in God should be ruled by knowledge and passion. The disciples had the knowledge, but they needed a fresh encounter with Jesus to fire up their hearts for Him.

How do you make sure your heart still burns for God? In three ways...

1. Keep Reading.
Make the reading of God's word become your daily habit. To help yourself keep this goal, use YouVersion and the daily audio bible. They are great tools to make God's word easier to digest.

2. Keep Going to Church.
Go to your church. Get involved in worship and try to follow their leading. You can't be a lone ranger. You must be part of a spiritual family.

3. Keep Volunteering.
Put your faith in action. It is okay that you show up to worship and sing the songs. However, sometimes, you have to pick up a broom and help out cleaning the church kitchen. Service is a better sacrifice.

The disciples needed a special touch from Jesus to make them realize that their hearts were burning for God. The same thing could happen to you.
