David and Uzzah learned the hard way that the ark of the covenant was not to be profaned. Uzzah's paid the price with his death. David learned that God ordained that the ark was to be ministered to by the Levites and priests only. They were to consecrate themselves before handling the holy things. Now that David was in alignment with God's will, God was helping them (v.26) instead of the Israelites working on their own.

In the same way, your ministry, work, and family will flourish when weyou cooperate with God instead of working on our own. There will still be trials, but He won't have to disclipline us. If we are not in alignment with God, we are working against Him.
