Question: Angry Psalms
Some Psalms seem so angry. They can be filled with requests for God to maim and destroy others. And come to think of it, many of them don't seem anything like Jesus' example in the gospels. Some are just lists of wants or needs. "You are God. Don't kill me; forget the wrongs I've done. Kill my enemies instead. I am righteous. Remember my righteous deeds." Is this how we are to pray? Probably not. Perhaps the Psalms reflect realprayers instead of modelprayers.
