Born Again

There are two kinds of Christians. Those who call themselves 'Christians' and those who are 'born again' Christians. How do you become born again?

There is a process to become born again. Jesus talks about being born again of water and spirit. What does it mean?

Born again of water = Baptism in Jesus Name.
Water baptism is the physical side of being born again. You walk into the water and the minister baptizes you in the name of the father, son and Holy Ghost, which is Jesus. Baptism symbolizes a new birth. The old is behind and you become a new creation.

Born again of the spirit = Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Just like in the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, people today are being baptized with the Holy Spirit. This is a personal experience between you and God. He comes into your life and lives within you.

The application of being born again is baptism and, as Jesus says, you must do it. If you haven't done it, call your pastor and get assistance to go through the process of being born again. Remember, a simple prayer of repentance doesn't make you born again. It is certainly the beginning. Call your pastor. Do it today.
