Conference 110507 a - Israel & the Church - Peter T

Morning 1 Revelation comes not from man or women, bit from the spirit of God. Its like the difference between looking at a picture on the wall and walking through a garden.

You can't appreciate the beauty of a garden unless you participate and interact and walk in it.

There's a difference between information and revelation.

When the word of God changes from a"picture on the wall" into a garden where God speaks to you and fellowships with you, that's revelation.

Acts 3 Restoration The resurrection of the nation if Israel, its culture, its language, have only been resurrected once in the history of the world.

1946-Israel reborn 1960 s - Jews start to call Jesus Messiah

We are living in a time if incredible restoration. It is important for us to get a prophetic understanding of this.

Redefinition of prophecy Prophecy-it when God says He going to do something and puts it in writing, & He actually does it as evidenced in our history

Eg. Jesus

Jesus was a fulfillment of hundreds of prophecies in the Tenah (Old Testament)

Matt 1:22,23 Jesus' virgin birth "so that it may be fulfilled as the property of the Lord said"

Eg.matt 2:14

This phrase was used by matthew 14 times to sure the prophetic fulfillment of Jesus.

Luke 4:16 Jesus returns to Nazareth, his home town to preach. Jesus read from the scripture "The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He had made me Messiah"

Then he preached "Today, this prophecy is fulfilled on your hearing"

All the people needed now is a revelation.

Sadly they didn't get it. Despite seeing Jesus with their own eyes, and hearing him with their own ears.

They missed it, because they lacked revelation.

Now that's just the introduction.

Now let's talk about Israel.

Israel had been in the news constantly. But what does God had to say about Israel.

Just one example in the Tenah: Ekl 36:22,23 "The nations will know that I'm Lord, when I'm made holy in your midst" "I will gather you out of all nations and bring you back to your own land"

Out of thousands of years, This is something that has happened in our generation. This is Prophecy with a big "P". This is something that we need to appreciate with revelation.

"where they were scattered, my Name was profaned"

Jews were scorned, persecuted, massacred where they were scattered. Eg; crusades, holocaust

Through the fulfilling of the prophecy of bringing the Jews back to Israel, God says "I am the faithful God" He never breaks any promise He makes. We as Christina need to understand this too, because we are a covenant people too, He had made us promises too, and He will fulfill them.

Proof? The nation of Israel.

What do we need? We need revelation. Most Christians today believe the God broke His covenant with the Jews and started a new one with us. The problem with that?

Are we better than the Jews? Didn't God say He was married to Israel?

Even some Jew think, God broke His can covenant.

That is unthinkable. God brought Israel back to show us He is faithful, no covenant had been broken, or ever will be.

We need revelation, and the church needs revelation.
