The Baton Change
Theme: Faithfulness, Generational Handover,
Scripture: Psalm 71:18 - Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty actions to all who are to come.
Observation: It does not matter how old you are you should still have the same cry in your heart. A cry to see to declare God's power and mighty acts to the generation to come. David wanted God to use him to prepare the next generation to take over and David would not be happy until that had been accomplished.
Application: I must keep the passion alive in me to always want to see the next generation experience God's power and hear of His mighty acts in the past. I must impart faith to the next generation so that they can now run their leg of the race, better, faster and smarter than me before their God!
Prayer: May I be one who always maintains a passion to declare God's power to the next generation. May I be one who always speaks of your mighty acts for faith comes by hearing & hearing of the Word of God...
