But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality (hypersexuality, STD, pornographic addiction), impurity (pornographic addiction) and debauchery (illegal drug addiction) ;idolatry (putting someone on a pedestal as in borderline personality disorder) and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy (delusional jealousy), fits of rage (extreme agitation, violence results of ETOH addiction), selfish ambition (grandiosity, narcissistic), dissensions, factions (staff splitting) and envy; drunkenness (ETOH addiction), orgies (hypersexuality, STD), and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love (pt can sense it whether you care or it is just a job), joy (can rub off into pt and give them hope), peace (important especially when all hell are breaking lose), patience (oh yes, LOTS of patience in working in acute mental health), kindness (One of the hallmark of good nursing), goodness, faithfulness (keep your promises to your patient), gentleness (Another hallmark of good nursing) and self‑control (Requires tons, especially when patient is giving you verbal diarrhea). Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
