Thoughts on Ephesians 5:1-2

The call to be like Christ. Verses prior speak about the individual, but does it? We are in community, and so as individuals we are called to be in community, in relationship with community. Just as Jesus as Christ lived in community, so we to must live in community. This does not mean a specific community, no. It means our context, our immediate world, what confronts us everyday, what we are thrown into to. To live like Jesus is a sweet aroma to God. This is interesting, in a process relational way. If God is found in everyone of us, by our actions, God recognizes us, and it is like a sweet fragrance, but since God is in each and every one of us, we become witnesses to others actions, and see the sacrifice and sweet smelling offering. Fascinating.
